Welcome Baby Scotty!

On November 3rd, our lives were forever changed. We welcomed our baby boy, Scott William, into our family at 9:38 pm. It's amazing how one minute you are a couple, and the next you are a family, but Scotty definitely did that for us.

Two days later, we were able to return home to Buttercup Lane as a family. Scotty seems to like his new home as much as we do, yet hasn't spent a whole lot of time in his beautiful room we fixed for him (since he's sleeping in our room for now).

We didn't get a whole lot of sleep in the beginning and Brian and I were a pretty tired new mommy and daddy. We'd take turns taking Scotty downstairs, letting the other sleep for an hour or so upstairs. Scotty only would sleep while we were holding him, but we sure loved cuddling with our new baby boy and didn't mind too much.
Now at one whole month, Scotty is a pretty good little sleeper. He sleeps for up to 4 hours at a time in his little bassinet next to our bed and only wakes up when he is hungry. It has been so cold in the mornings, so after Brian leaves for work, I love to hold Scotty in bed with me while we get one more hour of sleep together before starting our day.

Scotty is lucky to be loved by so many people and has already had many visitors! He's a social little boy and tries to be on his best behavior for all his new friends.

Scotty is now looking more and more like his Daddy every day!

Scotty has now had a few adventures outside of the house. He has been to Aunt Debbie and Uncle Dennis' house for dinner and to Uncle Mike and Aunt Beth's house for Thanksgiving dinner. He has had 2 adventures at the Thousand Oaks Mall with Aunt Debbie and Cousin Megan. He went to lunch with Peri and Kevin at the Airport Cafe (and peacefully slept the entire time). Scotty has also been shopping at the grocery store, Target, and even Costco. He loves getting out of the house and enjoys staring at the bright lights in stores. We also love walking around the neighborhood, especially to our new coffee shop, Common Grounds.

Our first month with Scotty has been incredible. We can't wait to watch him continue to change and grow in the coming months!
